What do I need to bring to my physical therapy appointment?

Your Health Insurance Card + Photo I.D. Card + Prescription from your Physician*

*Medicare and some Health Insurance require Prescription. Bring MRI or X-ray Reports, if you have them.


 

Do I need to see my Doctor before I can receive Physical Therapy?

It’s good to see a Doctor to get the best care for your condition. Medicare and some Insurance companies require a Doctor’s Prescription for Physical Therapy.

NJ is a Direct Access State for Physical Therapy and does not require Doctor's referral. However, some HMO's require a PCP Insurance Referral.


 

What do I wear to my Physical Therapy sessions?

Wear loose fitting clothes for comfort and access to injured area.

Gowns available, if needed. Sneakers with t-shirt/shorts or active wear is best attire for exercising.


How long is each physical therapy session?

The first visit is usually 1 hour. Most appointments will last 40 to 60 minutes.


 

How often do I have to come to physical therapy?

Depending on your injury, 2 or 3 visits a week is recommended. The physical therapist will be able to tell you after your first appointment.

Compliance to the physical therapist's recommended visit frequency and home exercise program help you recover faster and shorten the frequency and duration of your treatment.


 

What insurance policies do you accept?

We accept most major health care plans, including Medicare and all commercial Blue Cross Blue Shield. We also accept Workers Comp, No-Fault or PIP cases.

Do I have to pay copay at each visit?

Copays, Co-Insurance, & Deductibles are due at the time of service. Amount due on each visit depends on your insurance benefits.

I do not have health insurance. How much do you charge for services?

We guarantee comparatively lower rates than other physical therapy clinics in the area.
